I want to thank all of you for being so dedicated to this program, to yourself and to me. I am truly amazed by how much you are changing…. in just four weeks you are making healthier eating choices…. making fitness a priority and not only showing up for your WWL classes but giving it 100 percent! Awesome, Awesome Job!!

When I walked in the very first Winter Weight Loss Class… everyone was so quiet….nervous…. intimidated. Four weeks later…. Needless to say the classes have been anything but quiet. Yes, we are having lots of fun…. lots of laughing…. but even more important…. the motivation and inspiration I have seen you give each other…. it’s truly amazing.

ADVANCED
My Fall Fitness that have stayed on for the Winter…. you are an amazing group. Since October I have watched you advance in Running, Boot Camp, Weight Training and Spinning. Whatever I challenge you with ….you complete it. It doesn’t matter if it’s 14 or 40 degrees….. When I get you to Master one exercise you stay with it and incorporate a new one. A PERSON WHO CAN DO A CHALLENGING EXERCISE OR SPORT WITH STRENGTH AND SPEED IS AN ATHLETE….. THAT’S WHAT YOU ALL HAVE BECOME……..ATHLETES

It was a very emotional day at Sayville Fitness today. As each of the final Fall Fitness Contestants came in for their final weigh in….some came in TINY SHORTS AND HALF TOPS and others IN TEENY TINY STRING BIKINIS…. everyone looks soooo amazing!

I couldn’t help but reflect today on the first time I met with each of you individually in October for your first weigh in. Sitting in the “cry chair” across from my desk…. many of you were so unhappy with how you felt ….looked…and who you became.

15 short weeks ago…. Each of you had your own story to tell of why and how this happened to you.

15 short weeks ago… You whined and cried as I made you get on the scale…pleading for me to believe that you had no idea how the number got so high ..and then sulked as I measured you from head to toe.

A NEW YOU! You all transformed your bodies…. mind and souls into a whole new YOU! Each of you changed from the inside out. You have changed your body with intense sculpting classes….You are toned, fit and strong. You have become runners and spinners. You do Indian Runs to and from the beach and in the process have the toughest workout possible….. You have learned how to eat healthy for life…not only learned it…. you do it and enjoy it. YOU SHOULD ALL BE SO VERY PROUD OF YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Your self-esteem has grown to a new level and you now walk with confidence thru the gym and give help and advice to those you once were.

Most important you have become a family to each other. You are a family I am so proud to be a part of….the support, motivation and confidence you have given each other has been nothing but amazing. I am truly inspired by each one of you. TODAY I RECEIVED A WONDERFUL GIFT FROM ALL OF YOU. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. I LOVE YOU ALL.

ARMS, ABS, & BARS

Did you know that the more muscle mass you have the more calories you burn even at rest?  Add fabulous looking muscle tone to your physique using a combination of the barbell, dumbbells & bands

 

ASHTANGA YOGA

A vigorous style of specific asanas (flow of postures) is sequenced to emphasize breath, strength, flexibility and endurance.

 

 

BABY WEIGHTS

A fun and vigorous workout class for mom & baby under 1yr old.  Do upper and lower body workouts with the use of your babies weight. 

 

 BOOT CAMP

Reap the benefits of this ultimate calorie-burning workout! A fun and challenging combination of  cardio drills and resistance training using weights, body bars, stability and medicine balls.  Enhances muscular endurance and strength.

 

 

BOOT CAMP ON THE BEACH

Reap the benefits of this ultimate caolorie-burning workout…OUTSIDE!  That’s right…meet at the gym at the scheduled time.  Walk/run to the Sayville Beach and get the workout of your life.  A fun and challenging combination of cardio and resistance training using all the amenaties of the great out doors. This is a hardcore workout. Option:  meet us at the beach 10minutes past class time.

 

BOSU COMPLETE

is one for all the strength training buffs, challenge your strength and balance with this fun class using the bosu and weighted balls

 

BOXING

Learn all the basic techniques of boxing using the heavy bag.  This one on one will let you take out all your pent up aggression. Instruction is taught by Professional Boxing Instructor.

 

CANDLE LIGHT YOGA

Come relax, lengthen and rejuvenate your body with candles to set the mood

 

FIT-KIDS

FIT-KIDS for ages 8-14 provide a good cardiovascular workout and overall conditioning.  FIT - KIDS teaches children cardiovascular activities, exercises and proper strength training.    Classes are taught by Denise Donohue a New York State Certified  Physical Education Teacher.

 FIT-BODY WORKOUT

A cardiovascular workout with steps, dumbbells and body bars to great music makes this class timeless, as well as fun and effective for all fitness levels

 

HATHA YOGA

A comprehensive, balanced class with a steady flow, relaxation between asanas, and guided instruction throughout.

 

KETTLEBELL

In this class you practice the basic kettlebell moves like the swing, clean, press, squat, and others. You will definitely get your heart rate going and turn into a fat burning machine as we take you through a range of high-energy exercises.

 

KICKBOXING

An aerobic workout that teaches basic kickboxing skills choreographed to energizing music utilizing various equipment such as focus pads, focus mits and  cross-training techniques.  Be prepared to have fun and work hard.

 

ON THE BALL

A body conditioning class that focuses on upper body strength, abdominal and back strength utilizing the stability ball.

 

Total Physique

The workout to save the world.  Develop your super power muscles and abilities.  This class includes bodyweight training, fine-tuning major muscle groups with a focus on functional exercises.

 

PILATES MAT

An innovative system of mind-body exercise evolved from the principles of Joseph Pilates.  Pilates teaches body awareness, good posture and easy, graceful movement and increases core strength, flexibility, agility and motion.

 

POLE DANCIN’

A combination of high energy and motivating music with unique moves and combinations that allow participants to dance away their worries.  It is based on the principle that a workout should be fun and easy to do!  It is a feel happy workout that is good for both the body and mind

These classes are designed for women of all ages, sizes, dance levels and flexibility. Rediscover your Femininity and Sensuality!

 

RUNNERS CLUB for Beginner and Advanced Runners

Beginner runners (1-5) will be introduced to proper running form and breathing tecniques as they start from a walk/run and work toward a full two mile run.

Advanced runners (5-13)  will learn speed and distance tecniques as well as interval training and strength programs for runners.

 

STEP & SCULPT

High intensity workout that involves stepping up and down on an adjustable platform.  Combinations that will challenge even the best stepper.  Concludes with a toning segment and abdominals.

 

SPINNING

A cardio workout performed on a stationary bike based on sound cycling principles.  It is an indoor bike ride including a vigorous workout for anybody willing to enjoy the ride.  Classes are technique based and/or real terrain based and thus,  focus on cadence, heart-rate zones, sport-specific drills, climbs & sprints that can make an unpredictable ride that is fun and challenging.  Also try our ONE on ONE Spin.  This  gives  beginner & advanced cyclist the opportunity to ride and learn specific techniques to YOUR personal training zones.  Get better & faster training with our One on One Exerienced Cyclist Instructors.

 

 

 TAI-CHI CHAUN

Class focuses on the slow, gentle movements to promote relaxation of muscles and nerves, and easing stress and frustrations.  An ancient Chinese martial art designed to foster spiritual, mental, and physical well-being.  Tai Chi is currently being held at Gillette Park at the scheduled times.

 

THIGHS, BUTT& GUT

Squat, Lunge, and Crunch your way to a fabulous looking caboose with this lower body workout

 

TOTAL BODY TONING

An intense conditioning class utilizing various equipment such as the step and free weights to sculpt and strengthen your body

 

VINYASA YOGA

Characterized by flowing sequences that are linked to the breath.  Improves strength, flexibility and toning, decreases stress and enhances body awareness. 

 

XTREME STRENGTH FOR MEN

An intense body building workout for men of all levels from Beginner to Advanced.  With a focus on all major muscle groups along with flexibility and proper form and technique, it will challenge and fine tune your entire physique. 

 

YOGA FLOW

A practice of continuous flowing yoga postures that can easily be challenging or modified

 

YOGILATES

Combines Yoga and Pilates to help strengthen your core and lower back with Pilates style exercises while you create flexibility and alignment through Yoga postures focusing on the breath. 

 

 

ZUMBA STRONG 

Zaub Lambada means for the love of Dance.  Join Dawn in an array of exotic dances from Latin, ZUMBA   Includes a total body strength and dancin workout.
